So, I figure it's probably gonna be pretty hard to wipe the knowledge of Leonardo da freaking Vinci out of everybody's heads for too long. However, since he comes from Assassin's Creed II and not, you know, actual history, I'm instituting a loose 'no canon puncturing' fourthwalling policy. Historic knowledge is okay, but game related stuff isn't! So, for an example:

Knowing he painted the Mona Lisa = YES
Knowing he sketched designs for a glider/anatomy studies/other science facts = YES
Knowing the glider flew over Venice = NO
Knowing he's connected to the Assassins in Italy = NO
